These trays have been designed to highlight the contrast in textures between the wavy hewn surface and the smoothly cut rim and bottom. A perfect fit for serving tea, cheese and crackers, or elevating your favorite objects around the home.
Both trays are made with cherry but have been treated with kakishibu, a natural stain that comes from persimmons. In Japan, kakishibu has been used for hundreds of years to dye fabric, but can also be used to treat wood. Both trays have a top coat of a food safe oil finish (a blend of linseed and tung oil).
