This series of vessels were cut from a green log of hinoki cypress. The somewhat rustic wood with knots and splits is counterbalanced by the soft shape of each vessel and further refined with a coating of sumi ink, giving the base of each piece visual weight. Major splits have been reinforced with oak dovetail inlays on each vessel.
Coated with a perilla oil and beeswax blend
