These flat trays have been hewn with a Japanese adze, a process called hatsuri, leaving a wavy textured surface. The recessed rim and a gently carved bottom edge adds a refined touch that contrasts with the irregular hewn surface. Perfect for use as a trivet or tea tray.
Coated with a ceramic glass finish that soaks into the wood providing a durable water proof surface while maintaining the look and texture of the natural wood. Cleaning can be done with a light detergent and rinse, and should be thoroughly dried with a towel.
